Over the past few days our partner Microsoft has announced some forward thinking changes surrounding their strategic products Enterprise Cloud Suite (ECS) and Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS).
These changes encompass technical alterations, new components and a name change. Microsoft have embarked on this change to take the next step in continuing to simplify their licensing offerings, whilst also delivering more value to customers, and have crafted the Secure Productive Enterprise.
The key changes are with the introduction of E3 and E5 offerings for Windows 10 Enterprise, Office 365, and Enterprise Mobility + Security. In brief, it’s primarily the new security features being introduced that are the key differentiators from the existing offerings, designed to provide greater piece of mind. The release, scheduled for 1st October, and pricing list will be available at a later date although our specialists are on hand as always to talk you through any questions now.
Our in house Microsoft Licencing Specialist, Ian Gerrard, will be leading with this topic in the July Microsoft Webinar. Other content will include discussions around Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection on Windows 10 Enterprise E5, and how Enterprise Mobility + Security E5 will include new Identity Protection and Privileged Identity Management capabilities plus cloud app security.
If you’d like to find out more and fully understand these changes, don’t forget to join the monthly webinar on 29th July at 09:15, as each organisation will be effected in different ways. Who knows, we may have even more new changes and announcements to update you on.
Until then, if you do have any questions please speak to your Ultima Account Director, or contact our Microsoft Licensing Specialist Ian Gerrard at Ian.Gerrard@ultima.com, who are always on hand and happy to help.
