Team Ultima recently attended Citrix Summit in California. It is an annual event used to kick off the strategy for the year - in advance of the Citrix Synergy customer event in summer.
In addition to this, we have again been represented on the Partner Technical Expert Council (PTEC). PTEC is an event held twice a year for Technical Experts in the partner community to work with Product Management teams within Citrix. Product roadmaps are discussed to ensure the features and changes being delivered meet the needs of customers.
At Citrix Summit, there was a strong message regarding Citrix’s role in security. The emphasis was on the Secure Digital Perimeter as discussed at Synergy 2017, with a focus on user centric, contextual security - while providing the same concept of "Any-ness"; Any App on Any Device, Anywhere, Any time.

The Secure Digital Perimeter is underpinned by the upcoming Citrix Analytics Service which provides organisations with the ability to detect and mitigate against insider threats by analysing user behaviour and identifying risky behaviour. The service also offers the ability to implement policy-based controls to stop threats before they have the opportunity to take hold.
Adoption of Cloud Services is growing strongly, with increasing customer adoption and a continued Cloud-First approach within Citrix. The upcoming Citrix Workspace service will provide a single unified workspace to allow customers to access all applications -be they Citrix Apps, SaaS, on premises or cloud hosted - through a unified portal with single sign-on and simplified user access.
